    2/2 Warlords

Hello.... I'm honored to be along for the ride in my 18-year-old son's journey as a US Marine. He graduates from ITB-East as an 0331 Machine Gunner next week. He has just been notified that he has been assigned to the 2/2 Warlords based at Camp Lejeune, NC. Just wondering if there are any other parents here with sons in 2/2 who I might connect with? It's nice to connect with others who understand that blend of pride, concern, love and worry that we all feel from the sidelines. ~ Shirl

I was a M-60 gunner in Nam. It's a great feeling to lay down covering fire for your brother grunts so they can move in for the kill!Click image for larger version

Thanks guys! My son started out wanting to be an 0311 and was placed in the Weapons Platoon when he got to ITB-East. As soon as he saw what it was all about, he was happy to be there. I know he is absolutely stoked to finally get attached to his unit and begin the career he feels is his calling. Thank you both for your service to our great country!

    MarineMom2013....

I'll offer my respect to your son for his courage to serve.
Those that do serve (honorably) are the true 1%ers.

Best of luck to him as he enters a new path in life....one that won't compare to any other because it comes with earning the coveted EGA.

    Carry on....
