Post-Recruit Training Hair
Good afternoon Marines. I'm shipping in exactly one week from today, and I know I shouldn't be worrying about such things as a haircut when I'm so close to 13 weeks of hell & transformation, but I want to look as sharp as i can when I have earned the title of US Marine.

I was wondering if the third pic from the top would be an acceptable style. Thank you for all your help!

What ? You are going to be bald once you get there and have a high n tight when you leave.
You will have a reg haircut once in the fleet and that is not one.
You have no say in this matter.
How come you don't know this ???

Thank you for the quick reply Rocky. I understand what I'm going to have as soon as I arrive at MCRD and what I'm going to have once i graduate. But what I meant to ask is if I would be able to have that haircut once I'm a few years in. I thought the top could be 3 inches and 0 below the ears. Another Marine at the recruiting station has a similar haircut as to the one I showed but maybe not as long. I don'tean to sound rude but did you look at the right pic? The 3rd from the top, and the 4th as well if the 3rd don't seem within regulations.

No - none of those are USMC regulation haircuts (they're all longer than 3" on top).
Like Rocky C said, you'll have a high-n-tight when you leave bootcamp. When you get to ITB/MCT, you'll either choose to stay with the high-n-tight or a regulation haircut. Those will remain your choices at MOS school and then the fleet. Makes it easy (and quick) when you walk into the barbershop.

High reg at worst, low(est freakin possible ever) reg is ideal. I've seen guys pull off similar haircuts... depends how your command wants to be about it. You'll find out soon enough!

Appreciate all the help Marines. M14ed I usually cut a 11/2 all around so I'm not worrying about getting jacked up by a DI for taking the right of passage from civilian to recruit away!! .. Rocky why is " idiot " in quotations? I never said that. Don't worry about me earning the title, I'LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE SOON

While you are in RTC...

after you graduate.........??? ??? ???
That's when you'll get into trouble..... ! ! ! ! !
you'll try and grow the hair, and forget the
wear on the "Heals of your boots"
