    Question Medication in boot camp?

Hi, I'm currently on trazodone for sleep, and I'm wondering if I'll be able to take it to boot camp. Or will I have to get off of it? Thanks for any help.

There is no medication in bootcamp - you have to do it all sober. If you have been diagnosed with a sleep disorder and prescribed medication for it I doubt the docs at MEPS will qualify you for enlistment. Ask a recruiter to be sure.

Check with a recruiter and disclose everything.

Please let us know how you made out.

    Best of luck to you.

I had sleep issues before I signed up as well, and still kind-of do in the fleet. In boot camp they put everyone on a sleep schedule and keep you working all day except on Sundays. Even with a sleep disorder you should be able to get a good nights sleep. And might even fall asleep doing some drill.

If you're taking Trazodone for depression, however, that's a different and more difficult issue.
