LCpl Jordan Haerter and Cpl Nick Xiarhos

Posting on behalf of my friends and brothers who I served proudly with and gave their lives to save many. LCpl Jordan Haerter received the Navy Cross for his actions in Ramadi, Iraq 4-22-08. Cpl Nick Xiarhos was among one of those saved by Haerter and Yale that day. We served with 1st BN 9th MAR. A little after our return Xiarhos left with 2/8 to deploy with them to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in which a few months in to the deployment he lost his life to an IED. Here are their stories as both were covered by CBS News. Also Haerter's Navy Cross Citation. Not a day goes by where I do not think about them.
