Been a long time since I've been to PI.

A little story comes to mind so I'll share it with you.

While attnding 1Stsgt School at Pi back in the summer of '76
I was on the second deck overlooking the parade ground.

There was a plt of WM's marching as the DI ( women type)
    drilled the recurits.

I look over to my left and saw my fellow class mate smiling
An i said to Bob what the hell are you smiling at ?

He said hell Don they drill better than male Marines do.

I said to Bob you know i was thinking the same thing.

After graduating Bob and i got orders to 8th Marine Div.
Bob was assigned a Rifle Co and I got assigned to H & S Co.

    Semper Fi Marine............you look sharp

Entered boot camp Sept. 11, 1967. Assigned to platoon #2075. Drill instructors included; SSgt Monroe, SSgt Bain (Smokey the Bear) and Sgt. Pete. I have many fond memories of my fellow Marines. I recently retired and have been traveling the southwest, waiting for the snow to thaw so my wife and I can return to our home in Montana. Would be great to hear from my buddies from "Platoon 2075, aye, aye Sir". I spent my remaining Marine Corp years with the reserve unit in Spokane, Wa. My e-mail address is
    asckalispell@yahoo.com. Semper Fi !

That was my platoon number (3129) in 74-75 at MCRDSD. We we're in the H-barracks, about 50 feet from the messhall recruit entrance, bottom floor right side facing the airport.
