Thank you for the kind words. I'd like to share with you some pearls of wisdom from my uncle who passed on at age 96. A few beers made him a great philosopher. He once told me that the secret to a long life was "never, never, never...... stop breathing. I might add that walking also helps. HA!!! God bless you and all our brother Marines. Thank you for your service. Semper Fi......JB33

MCRD Paris Island, South Carolina, March -May 1977
"D" Company, Platoon 2045, laundry Number 18
I remember my Gunny Sgt. He could sing cadance like a lark.
SSGT Lyles looked and acted like a bull dog, and LOVED push ups
Sgt Mills was the funniest DI there ever was.
I loved the "O", and "I" course and was on the rope climb team. I can remember doing a Iron Cross for my DI's to prove that I can climb faster without my legs. Oh that was the day.

To jb33;
You never have to give a thanks to me for what you are doing(living with
pain) . The only thinks is a semple Sempri Fi will do. I live with this pain ever
day of my life but am proud to say I am able to wake up each morning. The real thanks should go to the ones that did not come home. I give them all the thanks and respect I can muster up. Please keep on keeping on,and
doing what you do. Sempri Fi . cwsaffels
