Women in the Infantry (03xx series)
Been hearing some crazy stuff lately, that apparently women are being allowed to give 03xx MOSs a shot in SOI, and can now secure 03xx contracts.
Also been told they can now take 08xx contracts, and Marine Female Lieutenants are now offered Infantry Officer School.
To become fully qualified 03 and/or 08 series Marines.
Any information on this would be nice, this just totally stumped me, of everything I ever hear about Infantrymen, the Infantry, the lifestyle, even medically, after taking a Nursing Assistant Course a while back and learning female hygiene requirements, how is it even possible for a woman in the field for extended periods of time without proper bodily maintenance not suffer from chronic yeast infections and urinary tract infections?
This is by far the most amazing thing I've ever heard.
And thank you for any feedback.

I understand about the Israeli females, but they aren't mixed with the Male Infantry, they have their own Corps in the Israeli Defense Force. They dominantly serve in the capacity of MPs, not exactly the same capacity of the Infantry, which if the USMC is pushing to model towards the IDF, why not separate WM into their own sections like the IDF does with a separate mission from the MMs?
Does this mean the USMC is dropping their standards for Marine Infantry?

Women must meet same physical standards as men under new order
Jim Michaels, USA TODAY3:54p.m. EST January 24, 2013
WASHINGTON - The military will not need to lower its physical standards as it opens direct combat jobs to women, senior military officials said Thursday.
The new order by the Pentagon, issued Wednesday, will open as many as 237,000 new jobs to women.
But military officials said the occupations, such as infantry and artillery, have exacting physical requirements that will not be altered.
The military has different physical standards at Army and Marine basic training. But for those trying to get into the infantry and other combat arms specialties the standards for men and women would be the same.
The officials declined to be named since they are not authorized to speak publicly. Secretary Leon Panetta was scheduled to make details of the order public today.
The officials said President Obama fully supports the decision and his nominee for the next secretary of defense, Chuck Hagel, has been informed of it.
The military services have several years to fully implement the order but the plan will be executed incrementally so that new jobs will open as the services make them available. Any jobs that the services want to remain off limits to women will require the defense secretary's approval.
"The secretary's goal is to open everything," one defense official said.
In a written statement President Barack Obama said allowing women to serve in combat marks another step toward the country's founding ideals of fairness and equality. Obama expressed strong support for the decision lift the combat ban Thursday.
Obama said he is confident the decision -- coupled with the recent repeal of the ban on gays in the military -- will strengthen the U.S. military.
The president said "Today, every American can be proud that our military will grow even stronger, with our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters playing a greater role in protecting this country we love.
