Questions From An Airman
Hello Marines, A1C Robinson here. I recently found out an NCO in my unit and I share a common goal: we both want to commission into the USMC. I asked him about what he had found out, and if he had spoken to an OSO. I found out some sobering news, he has been told that the Marines are currently only accepting reserve officers.
Above all, I want to commission with a ground contract, preferably an active duty Infantry platoon commander.
My question is, is it true that the Corps is only looking for reserve at this time?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

they are only accepting reserve officers through the OCC(officer candidates course) program. OCC is what you would go through if you already have a college degree. You can get an active duty ground contract through the PLC(platoon leaders course) split program, which is where you go to 6 weeks of OCS between school years(freshmen and sophomore, sophomore and junior, etc). You would have to be out of the AF and in school full time in order to be eligible for the PLC program.
