Background check in the Marines?

What do they check in background checks?
I've never had legal trouble,car tickets,debt or anything like that.
But a few minor things,do they check your internet history or online screennames?
Because one of my usernames has a drug reference because I was just being stupid.
And do they interview your neighbors in a background check?
My neighbors all really hate me,I don't even know why though,I'm afraid if they were asked about me they would make up some terrible things about me.
Would any of this disqualify me from enlisting?
I know all this sounds stupid,but I really wanna join the Marines...please help!

They will only check the references you provide on the NACLC investigation which is the secret level investigation all Marines are required to complete. Based on what you've stated, you shouldn't have a problem.
