    Would the Marines reject me?

    Hello Marines,
i have a question concerning accident related scars. When I was one years old, I burned my hands on a grill while learning to walk. They were severe burns and I had skin grafts when I was younger and last year I had surgery on them to release a small tension that prevented me from completely keeping my hands straight. Now my hands are completely functional and are just like any other person's hand. I would like to ask if anyone thinks thatMEPS would reject me for my hands. I've talked to my recruiter and he said the only way to tell is when I go there. Please reply with some ideas, thank you

I seriously doubt anyone here has any experience with anything similar to your situation. I honestly don't like your chances, but I could be wrong. If anyone here can help you, it's a Marine whose user name is SoftballCatch23. She has links to many of the medical disqualifiers and may have something that points you in the right direction.

    Well, it's 6 months later.
How are you making out with your Recruiter and how did you make out with MEPS ?

Rocky C, all went smooth with MEPS with my hand scars, I had all original documents plus my surgery reports such as the pre ops, post ops, follow ups/therapy, along with a letter stating I have no limitations! All is well!

    Semper fi,
Thank you, it took a long time to get all the med docs approved by MEPS, but it happened and I'm grateful thank you again!
