    39 Years Ago Today...

39 years ago today I arrived at MCRD San Diego at 0 Dark Thirty... Ahhh...those Yellow Footprints. I will Never forget.
My first wakeup call came with me flying off the top rack. The Drill Instructor had overturned the rack because I was too slow in getting out of the rack that morning. I remember it now as if it was just yesterday. Let the good times begin!

I was 17 years old when I arrived at MCRD on June 1974. I was scared as Hell especially after seeing the DI's yanking us out of the bus. When I did graduate, I was one proud Texan. I don't regret joining the Corp. I am proud to be part of this brotherhood. The few and the proud .something nobody can ever take away. Semper fi..arrruah..Grunt 0351
