Hi everyone,

My boyfriend is at boot camp at Parris Island. He has already been there for 6 weeks. He says he is doing well but that he is homesick. I already see a change in him via his letters. I think by the end of the 13 weeks, I am seriously going to have to thank the DI's for the new man he will be.

Anyways, I know that after boot camp, he has 10 days leave and then he has to go to MCT at Camp Lejeune. He has a non-infantry MOS, then after that he goes to MOS school which I believe is in 29 Palms. He is in the communications/electronics field but I'm not sure of his specific MOS. Should he know by know what his specific MOS is or that comes after boot camp? And then depending on that, determines how long MOS schooling will be? And would he be allowed to bring his car to MOS school or is it a case by case basis?

My father is Retired Air Force SMSgt, so I am already well versed in military life and that the military gets what they want, when they want, regardless of any plans that my boyfriend may make.

I would hope he knows by the end of boot. I'm going to ask him again when I write to him again. I guess he forgot to answer that question or he just didn't know. He makes fun of me for worrying about him but oh well.
