Yep, kind of like when a lot of people voted that way when the Shrub got a second term and we had to live with 8 years of no decisions.

You know, I understand the strong feelings people have regarding Bush, who you refer to as the shrub, but what is of a greater concern, Willie, is this is 2012.

The Bush era ended in 2008, and now this nation is at cross-roads. I presented some very cogent facts to you pertaining to 2012, the here and now, and all you have to say is “shrub.”

I find it hard to believe that someone as yourself who has been around a while, served in the Marine Corps from ’53 to ’73 to preserve our way of life, has seen many presidents come and go, can sit idly by with a man in the Whitehouse who has indicated his plan is to remake America, to change the Constitution, and undo what you served to protect, and all you can do is fall back with your bitterness and say, “shrub.”

And this is relevant to the thread you began, because the issue you posted with the thumbs down is occurring not because of the shrub but because of the current president. In order to allow those military personnel to march in that sodomite parade, a literal exemption had to be granted by the Department of Defense. Never before in history has this occurred.

Just a few months ago, Sergeant Stein found himself being discharged from the Marine Corps allegedly for violating the rule that military personnel cannot publically advocate politics. Now along come homosexuals and lesbians whose actions marching in this parade are purely political, and what does the DOD do? Warn them they are about to engage in a political movement? Warn them they will be violating a uniform reg? No. They grant an exemption.

More of this is in our future if Obama is re-elected. It is time for those bitter about Bush to move on.

When salient facts are presented, cogent points, and the response is “shrub,” it erases any legitimacy to the OP in the first place. The “shrub” argument is nothing more than a kneejerk reaction to elicit reaction. There is so much more at stake, but I guess some can’t think outside the box on this.

No, I'm not. Like I said, a write in vote is a wasted vote, is a vote for Obama. So why would I vote for him? I will probably vote for Romney.

Good for you. You earned the right to vote for whom ever you want to vote for, just as I have. Sounds like I will be cancelling your vote and you will cancell mine.

These people are seriously messed up, why can not society see the idea of homosexuality is a sign of some mental illness?

Where's the LIKE button? Brother, I completely agree. I've been trying to tell people this is a mental illness for years, then homosexuals get all "heterophobe" on me.

People with this mental condition may not be dangerous like child molesters or whatever, but it is still a chemical imbalance in the brain. I'd just like to see society recognize it as such instead of saying someone was "just born that way and can't help it." (Wasn't the child molester born that way? He can't help it either.)
