1st Sgt H.O. Setser
For anyone who may have known him, Henry(Hank) died
April 5, 2012 after a long battle with Dementia. He enlisted in the Marines in 1943 and served as a Scout,
his first scout foray was Guam and went onto Iwo Jima on the Third day. Later he went ashore on Okinawa. For the Korean Conflict He served as Master Sgt with Marine Detachment aboard the USS Tarawa. I don't remember all the outfits he served in but we spent many years at Camp Jejune and alternating tours at Phila. Navy Yard. 1961 Marine Detachment, Iceland. His last active tour of duty was Cherry Point MCAS N.C. where he retired in May 1963. If there should be anyone who knew him please reply.
Cpl. T. Setser (1967-1971)

Tom,
I didn't know the "Top", however, he and I did serve at PNSY albeit a decade apart. Take comfort in knowing that he served his country and his Corps and there are many of your brothers and sisters out here whose lives are richer for having served with him. Semper Fidelis,
Ken
