Force Recon Contract Requirements.
Hello, my name is Andrew. I'm 23 years old and Interested in joining the marines with a force recon contract. I haven't spoken to a recruiter yet unfortunately. I've wanted to join the marines since high school but for many reasons have been unable. Anyhow, my question to you is : I've read Recon Marines must qualify expert on the range. What happens to Marines with a recon contract that don't qualify? Are the assigned a different MOS or do they have a chance to qualify at a later date? I have my own AR and I'm an okay shot but I'm concerned the pressure of knowing I need expert to qualify for recon will make me blow it.
Any knowledge on the matter would be appreciated.

Well you asked this question in another post and I answered it there but, I'll answer it again here.
1. There's no such thing as a force recon contract.
2. You don't have to qualify expert to become a recon marine.
3. Forget everything you think you know about shooting and you'll do fine on the range in boot.
