    MECEP--Questions from a concerned parent--verification of acceptance rate numbers

    My 17 year old is determined to be a Marine Officer and is considering MECEP if he doesn't get into the Academy or ROTC. The recruiters have told us that the acceptance rate for ROTC apps in our area is about 20 out of 1000, while the MECEP acceptance rate is more like 50%. Does anybody know where I can verify these numbers? Thanks.
