CAP Units
I just joined. I don't know all the rules or if I am in the right place, but I am glad I found this group of Marines. I was in the first group of m
Marines in the CAP (then CAC unit) Ft. Page. We named it after the first Marine to die there. We were located on the Song tra bong (spelling) river and trained PFs and ran multiple nightly ambushes in the area. Are there posts from other CAP unit veterans? Not a lot is known about the every day missions we went on. It seems like those of us who volunteered for CAP must be small. It would be good to hook up with others who fought this kind of war. No badges that I know of...not much.

Here's a site with all the AAR's for 1/7.
http://www.recordsofwar.com/vietnam/usmc/USMC_Rvn.htm
Maybe they'll shed some light on your CAC activities.
Hope that helps....carry on.
