Quick update : Signed the line yesterday

Quick update for those that have encouraged me through my struggles to get here.

130 pounds and 18 college credits later, I swore in yesterday on a four year open contract after scoring an 85 AFQT and what I was told were high line scores on the ASVAB. My recruiter called to congratulate me, and inform me that I can have my pick of jobs that fit the needs of the Corps. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to this point. I am one step closer to earning the title.

Side note : I wanted to post my ship date and IST scores in the male pooles forum, but I do not have sufficient privileges to do so. Do I need to contact a moderator or something?

thegiantmidget...you'll have to PM Shaffer and ask him to change your status to poolee, since you now have a ship date, so you can have posting privileges in the poolee forum. Marine Friends don't have posting privileges in that forum.
