View of night sky over next 7 billion years...

Cool video simulation of what the night sky may look like as the Andromeda galaxy collides with the Milky Way over the next 7 billion years. Can't wait to watch this, I hope the weather is good.

Cool video. But the earth and us may survive. There is talk about being able to move the earth into a different orbit. Would take millions of years but thats all we need to move away from the blistering sun or even some massive object heading towards us.

What is more remarkable is how today man can produce a simulation of our universe billions of years from now. Great Post Amerikan.

Actually they can also go into the past. The Titanic movie was refurbished with one change. The accurate reproduction of the night sky when it sunk. An astronomer complained to them that the original movies sky was not only wrong but 1/2 was the mirror 1/2 of the other. Only an astronomer would notice such things.

In the remote possibility we were still floating around here on Planet Earth we would hardly notice the intertwining of our galaxies but the evolving view would be absolutely stellar.
