Should my relocating friend enlist now?
My friend and I just graduated high school two weeks ago. He is wanting to enlist in the Marines and currently getting his birth certificate ready.
However, he is moving to Miami. I was hoping he can enlist as a referral of mine under the poolee referral program, but I don't know if that is the best thing for him. I advised him to enlist at his future place of residence, but he wanted to help me out and enlist under me because I assisted him with his "academic studies" in high school.
Is it possible for him to enlist with our local recruiter and he still able to maintain remote communications with our recruiter, or would it be better off if he starts his enlistment process with a recruiter in Miami?

I would think it would be best for him to enlist into DEP in the AO that he's going to be living in. That would be Miami. And , I don't know the details or for sure, but I would assume you can still get credit for him.
Good luck
