Donald J. LaDue, 48, of Lincoln Ave., Cohoes died suddenly Saturday, May 12, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy embraced by his loving wife. Born in Troy, he was the loving son of John W. and Sandra Tompkins LaDue and beloved husband of Laurie Piterniak LaDue all of Cohoes. Donald was a life long area resident and graduated from Cohoes High School. He was employed in telecommunications with Adirondack Cable in Albany and a member of the IBEW Union. Donald was a veteran of the Untied States Marine Corps. He was a sports enthusiast and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his cherished daughter, Krystal L. (Joe) LaDue of Irvington, N.Y.; siblings, Paula M. (Henry) Paszkowski of Colonie, Karen L. (William) Need of Waterford, John L. (Jackie) LaDue of Springfield, Mass. and Robert C. (Mary Beth) LaDue of Cohoes; father and mother-in-law, Nicholas and Roseanne Piterniak, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Also survived by his canine companions, Jazz and Prince and his feline friend, Sassy. Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes Wednesday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Trinity Parish in Cohoes at 9:00. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterford. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday, 4-7 p.m.
