Why did you join the Marines?

I've wanted to be a Marine for as long as I can remember. As soon as a Corporal walked into my fourth grade class straight home from Iraq, that's all I've wanted to be. I love the camaraderie of the Corps, what the Corps stands for, the traditions and the mentality. What made you want to join the Marine Corps?

I grew up in Ohio with few job opportunities. To me, the USMC was an escape from a boring life. It seemed glamorous and full of adventure...turned out to be true!

After getting Married and H/S I thought it would be a good way to take care of a new Wife and Myself and be able to see the World!!! And it sure was for both of US.

Unfortunately the reality of some of these things has also made me desperately want to leave.
