    How can I become a Sergeant?

    Is there only one, or more ways to be Marine Sergeant?

    I do not understand the question,, what do you mean. and as for promotions, now they are really reliant on cutting scores,, and your score on the asvab,

    i meant that i wanna know if , is there a way to join the usmc directly as a seargent ,
    and not being fisrt private and than corporal to reach seargent.

    You will go to boot camp as a recruit just like everyone before you has.....and you will EARN your rank like everyone else has to.
