Female cover change

I know there is a thread from 2010 on this but I can't post in it!

I'm just more curious than anything if anyone has heard an update on the female cover change that was rumored to take place in october of 2012!

If this happens and I ship when I am suppose to then that means I would be one of the last groups to graduate with the "bucket" hats.

I haven't heard anything about it, but then again stuff like that can change pretty randomly without much word on it.

Athletic Artist....they are called covers, not hats.
Personally, I hope they don't change the female cover. Those new ones look too much like the covers that a fireman would wear when they are dressed in their uniforms.

Per the Uniform Board:

NEW FEMALE FRAME CAPS The new female frame cap was scheduled to begin fielding in early FY09, but because of manufacturing/design problems its adoption of a single frame cap was disapproved, however the design was retained. In April 2009, CMC approved the two cap version of the female frame cap, and it will be replacing the old caps in the near future. The introduction and mandatory possession dates will be determined in the near future.

So I guess we just wait. And wait.

Kim, they should stick with the current covers they have. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them.

I did, though I only made Corporal. Thankfully, the score for my new MOS (7257) is much better than Admin and I should be picking up Sergeant by next summer.

Thank-you for the responses, very interesting to see what Marines have to say on the matter as I don't know and my opinion is not a valid one yet haha.
