Semper Fidelis John A. "Jack" McKee
McKee, John A. "Jack" MECHANICVILLE John A. "Jack" McKee, 74, of No. Main St., died Sunday morning, May 6, 2012 at his home, in the loving company of his family. Born in Upper Jay, N.Y., January 4, 1938, son of the late Arnold and Irene McKee, Jack, who was also known by many friends as "Magoo", was a self-employed carpenter most of his life. Jack proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1956-59. As a hobby, he loved woodworking and designing wood crafts, which he made and shared with family and friends. An avid fisherman and golfer, Jack enjoyed his daily visits to the American Legion Post 91 of Mechanicville, and was also a member of the Marine Corps League. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary McLaughlin McKee, who died in 2006. Also survived by children, Chuck and Rick McLaughlin, both of Colonie, Kim Amigian of Latham, Michael McLaughlin of Stillwater and Lisa McLaughlin of Albany; along with Terry, Gregg and Terry; also a number of grandchildren and many friends. A burial service will be held with full military honors on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville. There will be no other services.
