Changing MOS while in the DEP

I've signed the prescreening forms and got required documentation from my doctor, now I'm ready to go to MEPS after signing Open Contract. Now I want infantry as my MOS, but I know those slots fill up fast, so what I'm asking is can I sign any random contract that I would like right now and get it changed to infantry when the new fiscal year starts, right before my 18th birthday and when I will most likely ship? I don't wanna get stuck with something that I wouldn't enjoy doing, so is it wise to pick the next best thing in my oppinion that I'm offered as a contract just in case I can't change?

Without coming across as being rude on my part, it's getting very tiresome seeing the same questions being asked over and over and over without doing a search on the site first or asking your recruiter.
