Thank you. We're so looking forward to the life he has in front of him with the U.S.M.C. He loved MCT, and had nothing bad at all to say about it (except being a "road guard").

He'll be in Camp Johnson for 2-weeks, then Fleet from what we understand. I'm hoping he'll get to choose, and receive an oversea's PDS. Being a MArine's the best way to see the world, it's culture's and food's.

I served on Okinawa was by far the best duty station for me but alot of it is what you make of it, he is a Marine and will be well taken care of, you have alot to be proud of, the pride will be forever,Semper Fidelis.

Marinestepmom, our son went to Parris Island.

Well, we just got back from Raleigh, and seeing him off at the airport there to the Windy City, then Seattle, then Okinawa. Gonna be a l-o-n-g 2 years, and as a Dad, I've got a lot of mixed feelings. But, all the 3 of us went through (since he was 5), and persevered through I guess says a lot about us, and about him. Here he is, going to be 19 at the end of July, in the Marine Corps and on his merry way to Okinawa.

Now, how dang cool, how much more right can that be? Especially for an 18 year old! He's found "his" place, knows what he wants, and knows it's all on him from here on out! Hell, I didn't have near what he had growing up as far as parenting and stuff, so, I'm figuring his Mom & I did something right!
