It was also the 1st Cav that failed to block the west side of Hue allowing the gooks to be reinforced every night with both men and supplies. Many of my brothers died because of those bastards.

This is what they used to say about the patch they wore.

The yellow was the streak on their back.
The black stripe was the Imjin River.
The horse's head was the horse they retreated on.

I came accrossed this a while back, always wondered where the E.G.and A came from. We stole the Eagle from the Air , force, The Anchor from the Navy, The Rope from the Army, and on the 7th day while God rested, we over ran is perimeter, and stole the Globe!!! All I can say, Marines, is Well done. I know my 2 marines, hold their heads a little higher, and feel a little prouder, being one of the few, the proud, the best of the best, A Marine. ooorah!!! from a Marine Corp Mom.

The army gave us the Eagle
The navy gave us the anchor
    and WE TOOK the World

From the outside looking in they see arrogance. I see confidence, pride, strength, honor, integrity, and discipline. If this all adds up to arrogance then count me in.
