Day 2, Event 6 of the crucible
Hello Marines I've been doing more reading on Boot Camp and come across a part of the Crucible called Battle of Khe Sanh (Unknown Distance Firing). The description I found was "Teams of four fire two magazines of five rounds each from simulated building structures at unknown distance targets in a time limit of 70 seconds. The number of targets hit and number of unused ammunition is then recorded" But my question is to score the highest on it is it better to use all the ammunition provided or is it better to conserve it?

I am pretty sure that your DI's will tell you what to do.

If there are still targets to shoot, then SHOOT them!
I don't recall having any ammo left.

When i did Khe Sang a few weeks ago we fired from a firing line after running threw the woods. They didnt score us on shooting, you just shoot. I only got 1 magazine of 5 rounds, the way they run everything is different now.
Dont worry about the crucible, you have a long time before you reach it.

How the heck did you even hear about that? Marines are not suppose to talk about any events from crucible, especially the tricky events. I guess there are always that lower 5%. Stop reading into it. You are killing all the excitement.
