I am truly very sorry for the loss of your beloved son. I know that words cannot bring him back nor take away your grief. I can only hope that these words can bring you comfort in knowing that not a day goes by where he is not with you. I may be just a young 26 year old Marine, but I know that the loss of a loved one is never an easy thing. It's something we all hope will never happen, and when it does finally come, we are never prepared.

Know that your brother and sister Marines have got your back, and that you are family to us.

We love you and you are always in our thoughts and prayers. Take things one day at a time my brother, for one day at a time is all you can do. Things never get easier, nor does your pain, but take comfort in the fact that you are in our thoughts and prayers always. I know my words may not help your grief, but I hope they will make you feel a little better.
