    Yeah, us Hollwood Marines were told our parents died while we were in boot camp and the only mother and father we had was the Marine Corps.

    My Mom is the same way even now..............and I'm 50 years old and have been out of the Corps for 23 years!

    I think it's great what you're doing! My Mom was living vicariously through me - she kept everything me or the Corps sent her. Everywhere I went I took a LOT of pictures and I always got double prints so I could send her one. (Keep in mind this was when there were no digital cameras so you always had to send film off to be developed) All that you do now is going to be a great start for her "brag room/book" that all of us have.
