We arrived at Guadalcanal October 11th, unloaded ship and camped out in the field. We had an air raid warning.

October 12th We loaded the USS George Clymer with gear, we slept in the field. During the night of October 13th we went to sea and headed for Efate, one of the New Hebrides islands.
