    Questions regarding Marine reserves

Hello, I'm soon going to join the Marine reserves as a Bulk Fuel specialist and I had a few questions.
    1. What are the chances, with the current state of the war that a bulk fuel specialist reserve gets deployed? (I know there's no exact answer but just a ball park if you have it)
    2. Is it a good Idea to spend money on school as a reserve, with the chance I will have to drop all classes if I get deployed.
    3. Anyone that has been a Bulk fuel specialist, can you tell me anything about the job?
    4. Any Marine reserves that go to school at a University, if you could tell me how that's going.
    5. I want to be a Marine more than anything, but I also want my degree, is being a Marine reservist really worth it, or should I just wait until I get my degree?

(ANSWER TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY, I'M ALREADY IN CONTACT WITH A RECRUITER I JUST WANT SOME OUTSIDE OPINION.)

Thank you so much in advanced.

Your Recruiter should be able to get you all of these answers. If you have a Bulk Fuel unit near you, which obviously you do if that's the MOS you will be doing, you could try to speak with some Marines already in the unit to get the answers you seek.

He will know about any Marines that enlisted out of your area and are doing Bulk Fuel and can try to set something up with one of them for you to ask these questions.

Deployments depend on the unit's rotation. When you DEP you will interview at the unit. When there you can ask about the unit's deployment shedule. Regarding school, if it is your goal to get your degree, then you definitely should take classes. Reserves are the perfect fit for ones that want to go to school full time but also be a Marine. Keep in mind, that if you are going to a brick and mortar college, that you will still have your one weekend-a-month and two week summer committments. So ensure it is within a reasonable commuting distance.

You have the opportunity to get a degree -take it

When will you be deployed ? Your unit Commander does not know this until he gets orders so we certainly can't answer on thiis forum

Anticipated deployment- I don't se it with all the cutbacks-etc

If your classes are delayed you wil just need to adjust adapt
