Platoon 2044 at P.I. March 77

Any Jirines out there remember, Gunny Collins, Belmar, or Paris Island 2044

I was in Platoon 2044, I remember Gunny Collins, SSgt Hogan, Sgt Belmar and there was a 4th I can't remember. I ran into SSgt Hogan a few times out in Beaufort when I ended up getting stationed at PI from 77-80.

Ah - it was SSgt Palmer, I ran into him a few times in Beaufort - never saw Hogan, Belmar or Collins ever again during my career (boot camp was enough ;-)

I sure do. I ran into SSGT Hogan a month before I got out. I was in 29 Palms. Walked in to the E Club and he recognized me! Even with a month to go I froze! He lit into me and never broke character. Funniest part was, when he was finished (which was short) he told me to get my eyes off of him and to carry on! Pretty funny - and interesting...
Sgt. Palmer was extremely tough. Belmer was tough as well but he was kind of funny when he wasn't tearing you up. GSGT Collins was excellent.
