Hi, I DEP'd into the program a few months back and just signed my contract for my MOS. After thinking about the mos that I got, i realized that I no longer want that mos and want a new one. My question is, is there anyway I can opt out of that contract and ask for a new mos, or am I stuck in that mos for at least 2 years after boot camp and just pray that I can make a lateral move and it be accepted ?

Option is to delay everything and possibly wait a long time to earn the title

SSgt is correct. You can ask, but if they say no, dont sit around and pout. I wanted infantry, didn't get it, and actually love what I ended up with, couldn't be happier. You never know until you try it.
