Are air wingers likely to see combat?

I am a fresh poolee and my mos is 6324 unless I change my mind. Im a more technical guy with an engineering background so I think I would like being a technician. Part of me sort of itches for combat though. In what scenario would we see combat?

We all don't know what a 6324 is (aviation something). Maybe you can give us a clue? Some of us don't keep a MOS chart hanging on the wall.

In reply to your worry and wonder.
Combat can find you almost anywhere,
But , usually , the wingers find themself
encircled by enough grunts to seriously go
    woman hunting a Hindrence.
But it doesnt mean , somebody wont take a shot
    at your grape.

Dont take it serious poolee, you cant get out of life alive...

IF you get to deploy you'll never leave the FOBs.

I know as a Ground Communications Tech we have a huge chance of deploying, since we go where the comm goes. And Comm is generally part of the initial assault in a campaign with the grunts.

As far as Avionics, I cant really tell you, if you get attached to a wing that is ready to deploy, your chances are pretty high.

    Not so Sgtjane.

IF you took the time to read the whole posting . You may have seen that I said , (almost anywhere someone gets posted now days, there is a chance
to see combat.) Consider the radical muslim movement you prepair for currently. (EXEMPTIONS FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA)
It might sound CORNY , but that is the way it is.
I know you dont want to hear about history of my time, and there are tons of stories about the airwing being hit in many locations in Vietnam.....
    Times and location change,,

AND NO,,,,I have more respect for my Instructors than to play POSER as one

Nothing rules out PTT and MTT teams or IA billets. Never know.....could find yourself down range in a provisional rifle platoon.

I did a tour with PTT69 in Ramadi, all of them were air wingers, was quite scary at times because they were very green but by no means were they FOB'bits.

Ummmmmmm, if your unit gets deployed to afghan you might get rounds sent at you. You could IA billet to a grunt platoon, or just do your job the way your trained and be the best possible at it. I wanted to see combat when I first enlisted, now all I want is for people to look at me and say, damn, I wish I was as lock on as him.
