Aircraft Mechanic to Crewchief?

Marines, I'm enlisted as an Aircraft Mechanic, and I was just wondering what the process would be to eventually become Crewchief on a Helo? Also, how often will I get to deploy within this MOS? Thank you for your time.

I apologize USMCFAN21 if I misread your questions. It was very early in the morning and I think I had been up too late and much too tired to be posting. I believe I got somewhat confused with your terminology and also thought you had written in an earlier post that your MOS involved being an MP. I reread that post and realized you had just said you were interested in MP. Again sorry and if you wish I'll ask a moderator to delete my post.
