Dropped from MCRD PI -- Any re-enlistment chance?
I was dropped from boot with an RE-3P, and was told I could try to re-enlist after 6 months to a year. That was almost 5 years ago. Any chance of getting back in, maybe? It's where my heart is still set.

You need to talk to a recruiter.
Other than that, I've got to close this thread until you get your profile filled out.
Once that's done, contact any squad leader and we'll get you back in the game.
No hard feelings. Forum rules.

RE-3P reenlistment - failure to meet physical"/medical standards (includes pseudofolliculitis and weight standards.) Ineligible for enlistment unless a waiver is granted". It doesn't mean a waiver will be granted.
CMC authority required for reenlistment.
The Marines here have no idea of what your chances are of getting back in; plus with the Marine Corps downsizing, your chances don't look good at all. Your best bet is to talk with a recruiter face to face. He/she will be able to give you the most up-to-date info on this, plus they will be able to tell you if it's worth going through the waiver process or not.
What where you dropped from boot camp for?

SBC says it well,
You're the one who knows for what reason they discharged you in the past.
AND the only one here who knows what you have done in the past 5 or so
years to change the conditions of your discharge for the Corps to want to try Considering you for a SLOT...
Think about it..

The Doctors in Beaufort said it was asthma. I've never had a problem with it in football or JROTC in high school, both programs all four years.

Maybe the doctor's diagnosis of asthma at NH Beaufort was the reason for your discharge code? Just because you didn't have symptoms where you grew up doesn't mean you can't have them at a different location. There are a wide variety of nasty molds, pollen, etc. at various tropical jungles and deserts wordwide which can cause problems.
