You can do the indoc anytime you want, as a pvt-sgt, sooner the better. Same with marsoc, go talk to the screening team or marsoc recruiter(not your recruiter), fill out screening check list and NSW form, get scheduled for next ASPOC(3wks), pass it, go to selection(3wks), pass it, go to ITC(9months), pass it your a cso, go to a msot at 1st,2nd,3rd msob. go to ssbc, masc, airborne, FF, alc.... and on, deploy, come back, repeat....

It's ture, you can get picked up from most any MOS, It just depends on your seriousness and want from your time in the Corps. My Son is his Combat training from Pendleton this week. He wants to be a hard Charging Marine, He worked his azz off in boot, became the guide for his plt. and was selected as series honorman, Meritoriously promoted to L/CPL out of boot. Then went to Pendleton for his combat training as a non 0300, again, became Company honorman, His Leaders have now selected his name to be looked at for Recon, Hopefully he will get it, wont know until the day before his graduation which is Nov. 2nd. So anything you want to do, or be in the Corps, is truely in your hands.

Anyone interested in Marsoc should try too enlist as hi up(or down) the food chain as far a training as possible. Some things you can train for like ruck runs and PT, somethings you cannot. IN aspoc, you get a pych exam, which you cant really train for.
