I think if you read the Koran correctly, it's 77 virgin GOATS.

I weep for what this country is becoming, and fear for my children and grandchildren's future if any more democrats gain national office. We lose more and more freedoms every single day to creeping nannystatism and those who vote for Democrats only want to increase that. Anyone voting for a 'dem' is someone who likely wants to take everything YOU have worked for and mortgage your kids future as well.

I can't help but wonder, now what? In the back of my head as I'm sure it was for many of of the other Marines that joined during this war they perhaps hoped they would be somehow involved in such an achievement. So for Marines who are deploying soon, like myself; you have to wonder, now what? I have to admit its an awkward feeling.

nrml1----you weren't there, but you and all the other Marines sure were a part of it, being Marines. You all stepped up to the plate. That's enough.

Oddly enough...I feel nothing. Maybe because I have a long sense of history about things like this. I'm not UNhappy about it by any means of course.
I agree Jason. No high from me either. Need to take some time to let it sink in.

Hey 'Trout, where did that pic come from???? Dan, I'm glad I'm not the only one...I feel weird in that I think I SHOULD be jumping up and down...but I'm not.

Imagine how family members and friends of all those killed during 9/11 feel right now.
Doesn't bring anyone back, but it gives some closure. Some. Better than how it was before the news tonight. What a tragedy. At least one chapter of it is closed. More to go.

Remember when they announced the end of hostilities in Nam??? Same feelings at least for me

Yes, Dan---same thing....one big chapter closed. Not the final word, but a big big chapter done with.

I think what dampens it, and the reason we aren't jumping up and down is because what comes to mind with the demise of that idiot is all the people whose deaths he is responsible for----- them, their families, their friends, and how his death can't replace any of them, ever.

Yeah. As a 9/11 Pentagon veteran....I don't feel really anything. Weird.

No my friend not weird just human. If this had happened in 5/02 then you would be jumping up and down but it's been nearly 10 years. Time can dull the emotions. I feel well he's dead, so now what? Where do we go from here?
