Are medical requirements different for each branch?

I've been reading posts about medical issues and enlisting. I always thought the medical standards were the same for all branches through MEPS. But I've seen people here say if the Marines DQ someone for a medical issue, they should try another branch. So if I get DQed from the Marines for an issue, there is a chance the Army won't DQ me? I just thought every branch had the same standards.

There are military health standards that are proscribed by the DoD,but each branch of the military has there own specific requirements.
