    Med Sep and Social Security

    Hello,

    I am getting medically separated and being put on TDRL for the time being for PTSD/TBI. My PEBLO said I should file for Social Security soon. I am still working. Can you still file for SS and still work?

    Yes....

    Go on the SSA site and read the requirements for disability.....you can only make so much if you get SSA disability.

    If you receive VA disability for being unemployable you cannot work. Even though SS says that you can have gainful employment.

    Bureaucracy and government at its finest.
