Well he said he was a Sgt as fighter pilot so like Mongoose said, that's what made the lie. I was in a bar a few months ago and I saw this fat f***er at the other end talking about jarheads, so of course I went over to chat it up. He was refering to himself and other Marines as jarheads which I know we don't call each other that*red flag goes up*. He goes on to tell me about 4th Bn at the Island and how they let him call home all the time for being an outstanding cadet lol. Didn't know what Semper Fi meant or who Chesty Puller was. That was all I needed to hear for me to go DI on his ass(without getting thrown out of the bar, thank you). I downed HIS jager bomb he had just ordered and walked off. Oh, and the girl he was trying to impress laughed and left while smiling at me on her way out. Oooorahh kill!

I call other Devil Dogs "Jarhead" sometimes. I get very paranoid when I read threads like this. It seems like everyone wants to spot a fake so bad that they'll latch on to anything they can and condemn someone for lying about the Corps. Don't get me wrong Lcpl Harris, based on the other stuff that happened I'm sure this guy was a fraud and as a Vet, I am very offended that someone would lie about their service. I proudly wear an Eagle, Globe and Anchor on my hat when I work. The other day I was approached by this fellow that asked me when I was in the Corps. I told him and then asked him and he told me. I said "Semper Fi" he said "Oorah" and that was the end of that. The whole time I was thinking about threads like this on this site and wondering if I gave him any reason to think that I was a fraud. Like maybe he latched on to something he thought was a discrepancy in what I said and was going to go home and log on to Leatherneck.com and talk sh!t about meeting a fraud that day. But that's just me being a little paranoid.
