    RIP Paul Furr

Paul Furr, USMC. My brother and sister worked for him for some combined 25+ years.

    He was 80.
Born Dec. 4, 1929, in Muskogee, Okla., Mr. Furr
had lived in Tracy, Ca, for 18 years.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the
Korean War from 1952 to ’54 as a repairman of
    gun scopes and binocular lenses.

In 1964, he opened Richmond Optical in Hayward, Ca,
which he ran for the next 41 years. In 2005, his
sons Ron and Ken Furr took over the company,
    and he retired.
Mr. Furr is survived by his children, Bill Furr Jr., and his wife, Debbie, of Lodi, Jan Crawford, and
her husband, Chuck, and Ken Furr, and his wife, Chris, all of Oakley, and Ron Furr, and his wife,
Shana, of Tracy; his former wife of 28 years, Gatha Furr, with whom he remained good friends; 11
