Questions About Reserves

Hey Marines, I'm looking at joining the Reserves and am wondering how long I should expect to be deployed for these MOS's.

MOS 6672 - - Aviation Supply Specialist
MOS 7314 - - Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Air Vehicle Operator
MOS 0511 - - MAGTF Planning Specialist
MOS 0481 - - Landing Support Specialist

My recruiter also has me looking at a computer MOS, basically and IT guy position but I couldn't find it on About.com.

Does anyone have any experience in these positions? I'm also interested in enlisting in the 92 day Reservist in order to get another year of school out of the way, any opinions or tips on that?

Is there a reserve unit in your area with those MOS's available?....The only one of those that I know is available in the reserves is 0481 Landing Support.

As far as deployment length goes, if you do deploy it will be the typical 7-8 months that most Marines do.

If you want to be an IT Marine, maybe somebody here can answer your questions. We did not earn the title to be called a "guy". Guys have not earned anything and are still back on the block.

The more appropriate greeting would be something along the lines of "Hello Marines". And, since you're asking for assistance, maybe a "thank you" as your salutation would be a nice touch.
