Our Mother Marines

All too often, British Royal Marines are forgotten for their service, yet they have fought side by side with us in most major conflicts that make up our illustrious history. most noticably in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are the foundation for which the fundamentals of our Naval service history was founded.

I have served with elements of the 40th Commandos in Afghanistan and there are no finer men out there that don't get the notoriety. Of course U.S. Marines are infallible when it comes to combat (I have to say that, its my Corps), however royal Marines are men I would serve with any day out of the week. If you serve with them, just let them know you appreciate their support in assisting us in the WoT.

I have to agree with you there Gunny, i served with them when i was in the gulf, i would gladly sever with them again.
