Just today my recruiter was explaining this to someone shipping next week. He said that at MEPS they just make sure nothing has changed since your first visit and if it had you can be cleared for it.

Well, you do go through the IST once you arrive at Recruit Training. I dont know, I wouldent tell people not to train for the IST and "less than half the work expected of you." is not right. Crunches...

I'll give you a view from the other side. I'm not the fastest runner at the RSS and when someone comes back for us slower guys it is very motivating and it sure makes me push myself harder.
