Twin sons in the Marine Corps. One stationed at K-bay Hawaii with F/2/3 he's a machine gunner. The other is at Parris is. he's an MP/SRT.

The croch is what we called it Nam also. We were known as Uncle Sam's croch. I never heard any of the other terms used, not saying they wern't, i don't remember them.

Parris Island Plt 387 from Sept till Nov. 1965. I've been back their twice. One of my son's is stationed there. L/cpl Rob (MP - SRT)

They wern't there in sept 1965. When we where shouted of the bus at Parris Island, the D I's kept yelling ******* to belly button. Most of us stood there wondering what in the hell they were talking...

I also sent evey Sunday. They gave out weekly new letters, I used them to write home, during the Mass. It was one hour of peace and quiet.
