They as in the recruiters and screeners (RSAS I think).
I got that impression from SOCNET (already read the introduction thread etc...), that one seems to be used much more then Shadowspear....

No I have not been there, going there now though, thanks.
As far as the enlisted path goes, really all I did was call and then email a recruiter. I meet all the requirements and they were pretty...

Have you spoken to a MARSOC recruiter about your situation? When I try and ask specifics I just got told all I need to be worried about right now is A&S, make it though that, and then you can ask...

Your "rung" talk did remind me they do have different levels within MARSOC; CSO, DCS, CSS.
CSO; you know what that is.
DCS is a list of specific MOS's that work closely with the CSO's and...

So the grunt already attended A&S and was not selected, but really wants to become a CSO, so he LAT moves so that he can get orders to MSOSG and try again later? If that is what you mean I don't...

I am not understanding what you are asking here.
Another note, I did write my sponsor and explain what I was trying to do because I was worried that, like you said, MSOSG would be expecting to...

There are other paths though, myself for example, I have orders to MSOSG as sort of a backup plan to becoming a CSO (I did this on a recommendation from a MARSOC recruiter "just in case"). I will...

I would think that mostly POGs would fall into that category; as in, "You were good, we could really use you in MARSOC, just not at this time." Is that what they told your friend?
What we need is...

MARSOC is so young, they are still figuring out the BMOS/open/closed loop situation right now. They are able to be picky when it comes to selection; if there are enough guys making it on their own,...

Yep, I have seen that same article, not a ton of information in there.
I will let you know in Sept, that is when I go to A&S.

There's your problem. Could you reproduce this source?
I am not sure Marine Friend works either.
To quickly answer your question in reference to not being able to join Active with a wife, that is false. I joined with a wife and a kid, and have even...
Sorry, I am still stuck in '08, when I read that you "deployed two years ago" I thought 2006. If the deployment was in 2008 that is not the award you are looking for. For example, that MARADMIN...
Foreign military (for the most part) love Marines. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan on the ISAF HQ base with some 40+ countries here, and not many Marines. They know who we are, and know there...
This topic is very confusing to me. I've never heard of a grace period! I was always taught to have that stuff ready BEFORE you are promoted. Why the hell would you wear something that shows a past...
Or my current situation... I am currently deployed in Kabul Afghanistan on the ISAF HQ base. The base rule is no cover requiered for US personal and salute all General Officers. (there are over...
Awesome, simply awesome.
Nice read. A major chapter in my life.
I can't stand her either, but I thought that sounded a little ridiculous.
That is because the OP image was hosted on Geocities, which is no more.
I have seen the picture before, and went looking for it to show someone but could not seem to find it, if anyone has it,...
2007, 2008 - (LCpl, Cpl) USS Kearsarge LHD-3 / Med Float
2008 - (Cpl) HMS Ark Royal / Training
The Kearsarge was alright, at least I didn't live on one of the smaller ships for that deployment. ...

Very true... I only spent 1.5 years in Norfolk and I already got my orders back to Lejeune. I even came here to Afghan to get out of Norfolk a little quicker.
