I think you can change the shipdate as close as you want as long as it is available. My recruiter told me that he shipped off the day after he graduated.

From what I've heard about all these Army Basic Training changes...mainly applies to the non-infantry trainings. Fort Benning, I think it was that trains infantry, is like a modified Parris Island....

Well, just got back from my poolee meeting. My recruiter told me to hold off on the 3 miler until a little later, so I just went with the normal mile and a half. Overall, I was extremely impressed...
